The Lowdown on Pre-Construction Homes in Miami

Miami has no shortage of amazing properties, whether you look toward SoFi, South Beach proper, or even downtown. However, that doesn’t stop developers from dreaming up newer, bigger, and more gorgeous options. Here’s a closer look at a few of the pre-construction homes and pre-completion properties going up in the Miami area over the next year or so.

YotelPad Miami

Slated to break ground in October 2018, the YotelPad Miami will be the first of its kind on the East Coast. The brand itself is known for catering toward design trends that appeal to Millennials, as well as for their “micro-hotel” development. The new property will feature studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. The smallest floor-plan will be 425 square feet, but the largest will only cover 700 square feet. Prices are expected to start around $260,000 on these pre-construction homes.

Flagler City Center

This one is not so much a property in development, as it is the means for something truly astonishing to be born. A huge chunk of the downtown Miami city center is now available to property developers. It covers over 2.5 acres of prime downtown real estate, and is currently anchored by Marshall’s. Ultimately, the space here could offer up to 4 million square feet of development space. Note that it’s prime for tower-building, too, as the FAA set the height limit at over 1,000 feet.

New North Town Center

The New North Town Center property would take 18 previously contaminated acres and transform them into mixed-use space. The current plan is to build a property featuring 1,650 apartments, but also a hotel, and 150,000 square feet of office space. That would be complemented by 175,000 square feet of retail space, and a school is also being proposed for the area. Note that gas contamination at the site was remediated over the course of several years.

Giralda Place

Giralda Place is slated to open to the public by mid-2018, and there’s a great deal of excitement about these luxury accommodations. The property will feature only 33 units, all of them designed with opulence and luxury in mind. Look for niceties like 10-foot vaulted ceilings, light-washed wood flooring, massive walk-in closets and 10-foot glass doors opening to a private pool.

These are just some of the pre-construction homes and pre-completion properties currently building buzz in and around Miami. There are plenty of others, as more developers seek to make their mark in the luxury real estate industry of South Florida.
